It'll certainly depend on the project; however, I had no particular
difficulty building libTidy as a universal library by making an
appropriate project with the source files in it, and then adding the
project's target as a dependent target to whatever project I wanted to
use it in. The effort may be nonzero, but is hopefully not
insurmountable.
