Universal build problem...

I'm just getting started on the universal binary thing. My application builds fine as native x86 architecture. When I add ppc, I get the error listed below. I've looked through documentation and tried Google, but haven't found anything yet. Any insight will be appreciated.

gcc-3.3: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1obj': No such file or directory
