If you are starting a new project I personally would use DWARF for
it. If you have an existing project consider switching over to
using DWARF but no real rush.
I'm not sure whether the performance tools support DWARF yet (?), in
which case you might wan to stick with Stabs until Shark et al get
upgraded.
