More questions than ideas.  With so little information, the problem could
be anything.

Please be specific, and describe exactly what happens when the tool refuses
to work.

Are there any error messages?  Any crash logs?  Anything at all?  Or does
"it refuses to work" mean that the shell refuses to execute the tool?

By "port", do you mean you copied the executable to the other machine?  If
so by what means (AFP, FTP, something else)?  Did you "port" just the
executable, or the whole project?

Is the tool even being compiled for the architecture of the other computer?
What does the 'file' command show when given the path for the tool?
