I too have been afflicted with this extremely annoying problem.
One solution I have found, and it is not ideal by any stretch, is to
go to system preferences, change smoothing setting to 12 (or anything
higher than the font you are using) and then change it back to 8. Of
course it would be much easier if XCode would just turn off font
smoothing when using Monaco 9 or 10.

Thanks, this solved it for me as well. I disabled the one in my
Classic system folder.
My Classic Monaco is always disabled, yet the problem still appears
some days.
