Development and Testing on the same system

  • Subject: Development and Testing on the same system

Is it possible to have more than one Mac OS X installations on the same system (same hard drive) to thus allow for a development and testing setup to reside on different installations. I recently started developing on Mac OS X after being developing for Linux. I am used to having a clean OS installation for development and then one for testing where if things go wrong, nothing of importance will ever get lost. I am not familiar with the Mac OS boot loader and I have looked at many placed but yet haven't figured out if this is possible or not. Would appreciate any input.

Thanks.
