Surely rolling back isn't a wise solution as file saving works for all the others. There's something else wrong and you should fix this.

I'd recommend a clean reinstall:

- Run uninstall-devtools.pl, found on the Xcode distribution media. This will remove most, if not all Developer Tools.

- Remove /Developer, in case something is left.

- Reinstall Xcode 2.4, or better, install the most recent 2.4.1.

If the beast is still resistant, try a new project and/or try as another (newly added) user.
