My question for you is, what is different about building for 10.3 deployment that could affect my app?

That is really for you to answer: What are your configuration settings? You can very simply copy the build settings, paste them into a text window, sort and diff them.

Generally, my question is: How is you build setup? Are you building one universal app for 10.4, and one non-universal for 10.3?

To my knowledge, I'm not using any features in 10.4 that aren't present in 10.3. The corruption happens very early in the life of my program, before it's had a chance to do much.

If that is the case, you can most easily build one universal app that runs on 10.4 and 10.3. Search the list archives for detailled insttuctions.

I am suspecting I found a bug in Rosetta, but I'm not certain of it. I don't have a PowerPC machine to test with, but I will this weekend.

Bug in Rosetta, while possible, seems unlikely (and I am not paid to say that). My suspicion would be that it crashes the same on PPC

I will try to make a simple test case, but if that doesn't work my app is a GPL Free Software application, so I could supply the source to the whole thing if anyone wants to look at it.

I am happy to try a clean sample of the test if it can be built and run without hassle. Feel free to send it to my email

Alex
