I have a similar problem, except my searches take about 15 minutes. I
don't expect to be doing a lot of this again in the future, I just
wanted to get comments from the Apple guys, and to give them some
pointers on what they can do.

Thanks,
Cem Karan

I don't know what the indexer does, but the "find in project" code
seems to simply load the entire candidate fileset into memory, then do
a linear search. This is a major problem when you're searching in
more data than you have available memory: a full-project search
renders my computer effectively unusable for five to ten minutes.
