I really need this functionality back. Is there some kind of preference file or something that could have gotten corrupt in the update? Or maybe is simply incompatible? How do I get my "Project Find" dialog back?
Try opening your project package in the Finder (with control-click "Show Package Contents") and removing the .pbxuser and .perspective files. Those are where screen geomerty are stored, and removing them should reset all column widths, split bar positions, etc. back to default values.
If this fixes this, please file a bug and attach the bad files, so we can try to figure out how they got corrupted. It would help to know if your system has multiple monitors, or whether you moved this file between computers with different size monitors.
