I have an application that is using a framework that's made by an
external project. I'm having trouble copying it into the
application's bundle (linking is working fine). I created a Copy
Files build phase, set the Destination to Frameworks and dragged
the framework into the build phase.
I created a simple test setup and put it here:

Open the Extractor.xcodeproj in the Extractor directory and build the
project. It correctly builds the auxilliary project (in the
DatabaseProject subdirectory) and links it, but then fails in the
Copy Files build phase. I'm not really an Xcode expert, but this
seems like a bug to me. I'll of course file a bug report, unless
someone tells me it's not a bug and I've just done something dumb.
As a workaround, I made a Run Script build phase that copies the
framework to where Xcode expects it.
