What happens if you drag the files out of the CW project window and
over the Xcode project window, then wait for CW to stop chugging?
Does that work? Just wondering since I would expect that CW fully
owns the drag operation, thus the Finder shouldn't be able to go
mucking with it. Or, I suppose it's possible that the Finder is
querying the drag and that that somehow "cleans up" some issues if CW
didn't properly set up the drag initially.

Hi Folks,
I don't know if this is generally well known, but I just recently
stumbled
across it and it saved me a lot of hassle so I thought that I would

it.
I am one of those unfortunate folks who have large CW projects that
refuse
to import cleanly into Xcode.
I have always thought that it would be pretty easy to do the import
by hand
if I could just drag the files from the CW project to Xcode. Alas
this has
never worked for me because Xcode would not receive the drag.
Well, for some reason I tried to do it again, but I happened to
drag the
files over a finder window before I got to the Xcode window. An
lo-and-behold, Xcode received the drag and imported the files just
fine!
Apparently, the finder does something to the drag to make it so
that Xcode
understands it.
So, if you have any CW projects that you would just like to get the
file
list from CW to Xcode without using the Xcode importer, simply
switch to the
CW Link Order pane, select the files, drag to a finder-window
(holding the
mouse over the Finder window until CW stops chugging), and then to
Xcode
file list; then Xcode will add the files to the project!
Hope this helps someone...
