A cite from 1987 about MPW (preceder to XCode), when the author
compares powerful Rome with MPW, something making sense with XCode,
too:
"The price of MPW's power is covenience. A powerful system is a
complex one, an, as Macintosh programs go, learning MPW's complete
capabilities is a lengthy process. Given the Mac's high standards for
user-friendliness, this makes it easier than most development system
on other computers, but an understanding of MPW, like Rome, is not
built in a day." ("Programming with Macintosh Programmer's Workshop",
Joe West, 1987)
