I agree. It is a recent thing. I believe the first was JBuilder with tabs
for source files, then Eclipse, and Xcode, all migrating to this model for
document management. While it is often convenient when moving from one file
to another, I often miss the option of having several files open and visible
at the same time. I miss the ProjectBuilder multi-window option.
