I have a Mac that was running Mac OS X 10.3.9 and XCode 1.5, which I want to
migrate to Tiger and XCode 2.4. I ran an "Upgrade Install" of 10.4.3, and
then the "Combined Update" to 10.4.7.
It was only then that I remembered the reports of problems when migrating
from Panther/XCode 1.5 to Tiger/XCode 2.0 (due to changes in ownership of
some binutils). The suggested workaround was to run the XCode 1.5
uninstall-devtools.pl script before a Tiger upgrade install, and then a
fresh install of XCode 2.0 afterwards. I forgot to do the uninstall of
XCode 1.5 before upgrading to Tiger. I have not yet run XCode 1.5
uninstaller, or the XCode 2.4 installer.
Am I hosed? If so, what is the best fix? Run the XCode 1.5 uninstaller
script and reinstall Tiger, via "Archive and Install" option?
