Setting up distributed builds

I'm trying to set up a computer to be a distributed build server. In XCode Prefs/Distributed Builds, the first two checkboxes ("Share my computer for shared workgroup builds" and "Share my computer for dedicated network builds") are greyed out, so I can't check them. I'm seeing this on two different computers that I have XCode 2.4 installed on (haven't checked others). Any idea what's up? Is there something else I need to enable maybe in the system-wide Sharing preferences panel or something?
