That would be really nice! I'm guessing you might be able to do it
using a shell script build phase though?

He is probably looking for built in support for creating installers,
disk images, and things ike that, something that Xcode really should
provide for out of the box.
Correct. I mean the workflow of
unpack,configure,compile,build,test/debug,packaging(generate .pkg, not
disk image)
can be more auotmated, integrated by one click/command (if every
substeps has no error).
