Hiding "cast from pointer to integer of different size" warning

Given the following code

   char keyChar = (char)getWgt()->GetNfyData();

where GetNfyData() returns a void *, how can I hide the resulting
"cast from pointer to integer of different size" warning?  I'm using
GCC 3.3.
