Hi XCode folks,

Thanks to the fact that I am so anal-retentive, I managed to find a note sent to me from Jason Townsend - July 2005 that addressed this same problem. A problem that got introduced when I moved to this new system.

In the file syslog.conf - for whatever well-intended reason - the entry on the "/var/log/system.log" definition line no longer contains a reference to "*.info". Adding this reference (plus semi-colon) to the line has relieved the problem.
