Can never debug Release Build Configuration

Any new project I make doesn't stop at any breakpoints when I'm trying to run/debug the Release Configuration. I've gone thu all the build settings, and they're all the same as the Debug Configuration.

For some reason the first project I made does debug in Release, but I've never managed to repeat this. Can't find any information on this, as it's too general a search.

Does anybody have any pointers to why?
