There supposedly is a supported way to get the linker to put a .plist
file into a special segment in a Mach-O file such that CFBundle/
NSBundle calls will automatically find it. In my limited testing I've
not gotten it to work, though.

I'm can see that .dylib does have version'ing information but
that looks
like that's its only for when your making sure that your code is
linked
against the correct version, and usually shown via its filename,
but nothing
like adding an Info.plist for a .dylib (for
CFBundleShortVersionString &
NSHumanReadableCopyright XML tags).
