Xcode does not save state of split windows

I'm having this problem with Xcode that it does not save the state of split windows. I've tried opening a project that I got from a friend of mine, and the split windows opened up as they should in that project. So the problem seems to be that Xcode does not save the state. When I open a project Xcode will open up the windows that were open when I closed it, except that it does not remember split window states. I've also tried creating a new project in case something was wrong with the one I were working with.

And what's really weird is that I have this problem both on my Mac mini and Macbook. Could it be that I'm doing some stupid mistake, or is this a bug? I have ticked the "save window state" checkbox. I have not managed to find people with this problem by Google. Does anyone know a solution for this?

/Niklas
