Probably VC6. VC8.1 certainly doesnt guarantee global vars being in
any order. Found that out once as code that "worked" on VC6 but
failed on VC8.1 - it turned out they were overflowing an array, which
happened to overflow into another, unused array and it went unnoticed.
In VC8.1, it seems the unused array got removed - so other important
vars got trashed instead. Took me a while to find that!
Sorry, that's probably off topic, but I felt it was slightly relevant
:)
