Good Day X-Coders!
I am working on a project and started to run into some issues in the past couple days. All of the developers are working on Intel machines with x-code and developer tools installed. On these machines the debug and release builds all work as expected, and work the same.
However, when we attempt to run our program on older machines - such as a Powerbook G4, that does not have x-code or developer tools installed, we run into a strange issue. As of now we have not tested on an Intel mac without developer tools... as we don't have any available to us.
At one point in our program the user creates an object that is a subclass of an NSView. This view seems to get focus, we have a cursor that appears in it and it blinks as expected, however we can not input any text and receive a beep when we attempt to type. We have come to the conclusion that there is no first responder in our window.
I suppose we're looking for some advice on any
build options that may lead to this situation or any other insight into this situation...
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Dave H.
We have attempted to change various settings for the build in the targets inspector with no luck.
