breakpoint for error messages

  • Subject: breakpoint for error messages

I used to set a breakpoint on fprintf as a last-ditch effort to pick up error messages that the frameworks logged to the console when running in Xcode, but this doesn't appear to work anymore. For instance, right now I'm seeing

<Error>: GCGetStrikeMetrics failed: error 3.

and I've tried breaking on fprintf, asl_log, syslog, NSLogv...all without success. Is there a reliable way to do this?

thanks,
Adam
