no problem at all, except for the fact that my project is relatively big (25 mb zipped)
how do others handle this, where does one upload such a big zip file?

It's certainly ok to send a "sparse" project. Include the project file and the source file(s) in question, but leave all the rest out. Xcode doesn't really mind the missing files. And it doesn't sound like all the other stuff would be relevant.
