Help, please.

I need to uninstall xcode 2.5.

The instructions in "About Xcode Tools.pdf" to uninstall do not work on my G5quad/10.4.11 system:

The instructions are:

On Mac OS X 10.4.x, type the following in Terminal to remove the Xcode 2.5 developer tools:
$ sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools

Not being a terminal jockey, I typed the command exactly as shown at my "Pulis-G5-Quad:~ mpulis$" prompt.

The results are:

Pulis-G5-Quad:~ mpulis$ $ sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools
-bash: $: command not found

What am I doing wrong????

Nothing. Drag the folder to the trash.

Actually, on Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4.x), dragging the /Developer folder to the trash is not sufficient for Xcode 2.5 (as additional content is installed outside the /Developer folder).

You are correct that on Leopard, you can uninstall Xcode 2.5 developer tools just by dragging the Xcode directory to the trash (by default Xcode 2.5 installs into /Xcode2.5 on Leopard).
