Hey Aaron -
It's a little tough to select just a menu item with a submenu, but you
can do it with multiple clicks. Once you do that, delete should work.
This awkwardness he's already been fixed in Interface Builder. If your
having trouble working around this, you can use the delete key in the
outline view of the document window.
Good Luck -

Hi there,
I'd like to delete a number of menus in the MainMenu.nib file of my
project. I'd like to drop everything but the File menu. However,
nothing happens when I select the menu and hit Delete. The IB
documentation says the menu has to be closed when you delete, but
that's not helping. I've tried creating a copy of a menu and deleting
that, and now I've got two undeletable View menus!
Something feels buggy here. Or can you simply not delete these basic
menus (Edit, Format, View, Window, Help)?
Thanks,
Aaron.
