Instruments crashing when launching app

As recently as a few weeks ago, I used Instruments to check for leaks in my app on a G5 (10.5.1, latest updates). I tried this again today, and it keeps crashing with the following message. Is this a bug in Instruments, or a dyld cache problem (as it sounds from the exception)? If the latter, is there a way to fix it? Launching Instruments from the Finder also fails, but this time with a malloc error; it immediately runs out of address space.
