I saw a posting of the same error but with no answer. Every time I try to
debug *any* project, I get the following error:
Error Starting Executable
Check its arguments and the debugger console.
Unable to find Mach task port for process-id X: (os/kern) failure (0x5).
Where X is a varying number ( I imagine the process id of the launched app).
I don't believe that I have ever tried to debug since moving to the new
computer (Intel laptop running Leopard), but I noticed one change in
behavior: previously, when I would get warnings, when I recompiled the
source files that had warnings would also recompile. Now, only source files
that were edited are recompiled, and all of the warnings are wiped out. If I
don't solve all of the warnings between builds, I have to clean and then
rebuild to get warnings.
This build behavior I noticed was how Xcode 3 seemed to work, which I have
launched and used. I wonder if the wrong gdb is being used ?
Any help is appreciated.
