file type preferred editor for text.html

Hi all,

I generate documentation using doxygen and I'd like to browse the HTML docs within XCode (3.0). To this end, I add the generated index.html to the project files and select HTML File as preferred editor for file type text.html. This works fine, except that when I quit and relaunch XCode the setting is reverted to Source Code File. I checked the com.apple.XCode.plist preferences file which seems to be correctly saved with the HTML File setting.

I understand I can use the Open As command on index.html to get an HTML view of the file, but this setting is not persistent over links, ie if I click on a link then the HTML code of the link is displayed rather than the HTML view.

Has anyone witnessed this behavior? Is there any workaround besides manually setting the preference in each xcode session?

Thanks,
François
