I have an address book entry for the list, it doesn't have "XCode" in it, and I still saw that. According to Mail the raw source contains:

Are you saying my copy of Mail is responsible for that "XCode?"


No, I'm saying that when I set up the machine that sent that (and I set up new machines several times a week, it's what we do here) it glommed onto the first sender's spelling of that name, and that's what got bound to that address for that machine.

As to your other question, I don't have an answer.
