Lost xcdatamodel file

  • Subject: Lost xcdatamodel file

I just lost hours of work. I have no idea why this happened, maybe someone can clue me in. My xcdatamodel file turned red and wouldn't save. It said that the file was Not Writable. I thought the worst that could happen if I relaunched Xcode was that it would revert to the previously saved xcdatamodel file. Instead the file is just gone. It still shows up in Xcode as 0.405k file but the file is gone from my hard drive. I ran Data Rescue II and it didn't find the file. Does this just happen sometimes? Is it a bug that is recoverable?

Brian Todd
