Xcode deadlock on project open

  • Subject: Xcode deadlock on project open

I'm suddenly experiencing frequent hangs in Xcode (2.4.1) with what appear to be some kind of NSConnection-related deadlock. The sample in each case has thread 1 ending here:

100 -[PBXProjectWatcherManager(PBXNotifications) _notifyProjectObserversForProject:selector:]
100 _objc_msgForward
100 -[NSObject(NSForwardInvocation) forward::]
100 -[NSConnection sendInvocation:]
100 CFRunLoopRunSpecific
100 __CFRunLoopRun
100 mach_msg
100 mach_msg_trap
100 mach_msg_trap

Other threads are all in pthread_cond_wait...

1. Is this is a known issue that anybody could help me understand a workaround for?

2. Would it be helpful or productive to file a Radar?

Thanks!
Daniel
