Why are you using an NSTextField instead of an NSTextView, which has a scroll bar in it?

I am new to XCode & Interface Builder. For my project I am using Cocoa-based application writtten in Objective C using a .nib file

Cocoa is a framework written in Obj-C, so all Cocoa applications use Obj-C.
