Hi,
This isn't an xcode question per se, but I didn't see a mailing list
on http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo that really corresponded to
what I'm trying to find out.
I'm compiling plugins of plugins where I have a bunch of symbols for
the Lua scripting language in the main plugin binary. When the plugin
loads a script, it has the ability to load Lua modules as dynamic libs
as well. When I compile and load a module, I get crashes from dyld
looking for the Lua symbols (usually found in liblua.a). However in
my case the symbols are in the plugin which is already loaded into
memory. Does anyonye know of a way I can direct dyld to look in my
plugin binary for the symbols it can't find in the module?
Here's a rough sketch of what's going on:
Host App --> load Lua plugin --> load mathlib module
Here the Lua plugin has all of the Lua VM symbols, however when
mathlib is loaded, dyld crashes because it's looking for those symbols
in the mathlib module instead of in the Lua plugin.
thanks,
wes
