Okay, maybe it's just because I'm fairly new to Xcode, but I have
no idea what these mean.
It's Cocoa terminology, nothing to do with Xcode. You "order front" a
window when you bring it on screen, the inverse operation is "order
out", which take the window off screen. The "key" window is the
window that receives keyboard events, as compared to the "main"
window which is the current document window. Windows are typically
both "key" and "main" at the same time, unless they have an
associated inspector / palette window that has assumed "key" status.
