aha! looked for the compilation line and then saw it was looking for stuff in the sdk-directory i then removed the sdk from the target and everything went ok
will do some sharking!

In the build results window, there is a set of icons just above the editor pane. There is a checkbox, followed by a warning triangle, followed by a block of text. Click the button with the block of text. That ones another pane that shows the build transcript. If you poke around, you should find the compile line that failed.
