How do I launch Shark, Profiler?

There is nothing really special about how to sample a command line utility. You would collect Shark reports in the same way you would for a GUI application.

If you need to start sampling a process when it's launched, you can use the Xcode menu item:

"Debug > Launch Using Performance Tool > Shark".
