Compilation is not required for code completion. Without more
information though, it's hard to know what's going wrong. If you can
file a bug, that would be best.

It would be nice to get completion without compiling though.
I think some some stuff doesn't auto-complete even WITH building.
But that's a separate issue.

Theodore,
Code completion works fine on my copy of Xcode 2.4.1; you just have
to build the project to make Xcode update its index of completions.
Before I built the project, I was getting the same behavior.
Afterwards, I was typing "bla." and getting all the functions I
declared in a nice little drop down just like in MSVC (and I'd
assume CodeWarrior).
Hope that helps!

Hi everyone,
So, I'm trying to auto-complete a few symbols. But Xcode won't.
CodeWarrior does, MSVC does, but Xcode doesn't!
I have a C++ class, like this:
MyClass bla;
And I type
bla.
And I hope to get the auto-complete after the ".". But nothing
appears.
So much for that :)
I just want it for class functions.
Any advice anyone? Upgrade Xcode? Fiddle settings? Send off a bug-
report?
I can tell you I'd much rather have a tool I ENJOY using than a
tool struggle against using my superior brain power over the tool
to get the correct results out of it.
