Try releasing it w/ delete. And then check out the source again. CVS is terrible about mismatched directories.

The same happens with a fresh checkout.

It's been a while since I had to fuss with CVS, but I believe this can happen if you do:


You:

mkdir foo

Somebody else:

cvs add foo
cvs commit

and you do:

cvs update

If this is what happens, you need to mv aside the offending directory, update again, and merge the directory contents by hand.
