I'm having several breakpoints that, once the application is launched in the debugger, turn to an orange color and their "enable" checkboxes get a "-" sign and the code execution never breaks on those breakpoints. The application have been built with debug configuration. I can go and force a check mark on the breakpoints in the breakpoint list and the breakpoints arrow turn black but the execution still won't break at those breakpoints.

What is the meaning of that orange color?

What do I need to do to get those breakpoint to break?

I myself just encountered these exact symptoms today.

After a period of befuddlement, I found that I had the Active Build Configuration (from the Project menu) set to Release instead of Debug.
