We also wrote to Mr Horn. And I would also like to encourage other
developers affected by this to let Apple know how this will hurt
not just the developers but the Apple pro software market. I'm sure
we're not the only ones who had 64bit plans for our cross-platform
application that suddenly look like they're Win64-only plans for
the near future.
And of course if you tell potential customers that you don't know if
or when you'll have a 64-bit Mac version, that could be enough to
motivate some of them to switch to Windows. Then it's not just the
loss of one sale of your software, it's the loss of a potential Mac
user to Windows, which hurts Apple and a lot of other Mac developers
whose products they won't buy.
