Hi all, I've been going through the gcc manual, to see if there is anything in there that I can use. I noticed that there is an option, '-fmudflap', that instruments code so that all risky pointer access is automagically double checked. I poked around in /usr/lib and didn't find libmudflap (needed for the instrumentation to work), but found it on the darwin sources, going back to 10.4.8 at least. So, my question is, am I missing part of my Xcode install, or is it just not officially a part of Xcode?

According to the GCC 4 Release Notes at <http://developer.apple.com/releasenotes/DeveloperTools/RN-GCC4/index.html>,

"Apple's version of GCC 4.0 does not have mudflap support for pointer checking."

I hope that'll change eventually.
