I am new to xcode and I can not seem to get my program to halt at a
breakpoint. Thinking there might be something wrong with my program I
have tried opening up the CalendarView program in the Carbon examples
and have tried setting a break point there. However, all that happens
when I click "debug" in the debugger window is that the program runs,
and a calendar window opens, but the program does not seem to stop in
the breakpoint (evidenced by no variables appearing in the debugger
window.
I can hit the pause button and the debugger stops. but that is not
what I am trying to do. I just can not seem to get the debugger to
stop on the breakpoint.
I placed the breakpoint by clicking in the gutter of the program. The
breakpoint appears dark, then turns yellow after I click the debug
button. The debugger window reports that GDB is running, then reports
that the program has exited, but that the debugger is still
running... hit Restart to debug again...
Any ideas what I not doing correctly?
