Sorry that this isn't a question about XCode itself, but it follows on
many issues that are XCode related (i.e. development of apps for 10.3
and 10.4 in one bundle).
My client supports 10.3 and 10.4, and currently is a service that runs
as a StartupItem. I'd like it to run as a launchd agent for 10.4, which
means some minor changes to the install program.
How does one determine the system version from a shell script? In code
I use sys_version_of(), but the install script will not have access to
that. I haven't found something like uname (gives Darwin info) that
will give me the MacOS version info. I'm sure I'm missing something
simple, but haven't hit on the right searches, apparently.
Thanks,
David Litwin
