I have multiple targets in my project, but each needs its own MainMenu.nib file. I can't have two nibs with the same name, but if I rename one, an invalid product gets built, saying at launch:
Unable to load nib file: MainMenu, exiting

How does Xcode handle multiple MainMenu.nib files?

There is nothing "Magical" about the name MainMenu.nib.
The name used for the MainMenu nib files is set in Your Applications info.plist files.
