Hey folks,
<<< I am reposting this because I have tried some new stuff, and I
think I can make the question clearer. >>>
I am building a java app with Xcode, and it uses a jnilib built with
gcc (using a makefile). I would like to migrate the jni build into
Xcode in order to eventually be able to run the debugger on the
native code.
Our jnilib contains about 60 "pure" c++ files, plus 4 "jni" c++
files. (By "pure" I mean their headers are not generated by javah, by
"jni" I mean their headers are generated by javah).
I have been trying to modify the MyFirstJNIProject (from ADC) to
learn how to add more c++ files to a jnilib. The way I have tried
this is to add a native method to the AboutBox class in
AboutBox.java, and rebuild the JavaHeaders target to generate a new
jni header that contains the prototype for that new method.
This has not worked. The header file does not change, and my new
native method does not get created.
Has anyone out there worked much with JNIs and in particular a JNI
built as an Xcode target? The single C file example is not quite
enough to get me off the ground. I need to get about 65 files into my
JNI. (It does a bunch of math).
If this belongs on the java list, I can repost it there, but I think
it is more Xcode specific, so I am trying it here first.
Paul
