XCode 3 lockups appear related to running applications from XCode.

Happens with HoudahSpot2 and MMalc's MigratingDepartmentAndEmployees2. Probably others ...
(HoudahSpot2 is a GC-ed application, MigratingDepartmentAndEmployees2 is not.)

What kind of link does XCode have to these apps other than capturing their output?

The problem I am having with Xcode 3 is that when I hide it when in this odd state, I can never again switch back to it.

I've gotten that problem in Xcode 2.4.1 as well; usually I can hide
Xcode and switch back to it, and the problem is gone. Sometimes I
have to quit Xcode.

I am experiencing very frequent lock-ups of Xcode 3 under Leopard GM.
This was not the case in preview releases.

The lock-up is very odd too. Leopard stops reacting to input. It is
not possible to quit. If I switch to another application, I cannot
switch back, nor can I quit Xcode using the application switcher.
Nonetheless Xcode is not marked as "not responding" in the force quit
panel.

Usually Xcode starts misbehaving shortly before locking up. E.g. it
inserts typed text at a random location rather than at the insertion
point, on mouse move it selects text as if the mouse button was held
down, it is painfully slow to react to the mouse,...

Anybody else seeing this?

I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but yesterday I got a weird thing
where Xcode wouldn't let me switch windows. It would sorta switch in
that they would move in their z-order, but they wouldn't activate or
deactivate. Switching apps didn't help, nor did using command-` to
rotate through the windows. I forget what I finally did to knock it
back to its senses.
