I have downloaded the October ADC PDF documentation. Problem is, I don't seem to be able to make Xcode pick up its location. When I click on a PDF link from the documentation window, it always goes to Apple's ADC site.

The PDF download package is not configured to work with the new doc set scheme (we're working to clarify this).

We are evaluating how to handle the PDF download going forward. One question is whether we provide a single large doc set composed of PDFs for all doc sets, or have a PDF doc set mirroring each regular doc set so people don't have to take up a lot of disk space for docs they presumably aren't using. The latter does mean an awful lot of doc sets in your doc set list, and increased overhead for our production process.

If people want to register an opinion, feel free to send me a note off- list.

I have followed the instructions to the Preferences/Documentation pane, added the local path, and dragged it to the top of the list. This pane has changed since Xcode 2.4 – it no longer has a check for updates section, and "Extended Locations" is now called "Documentation Set Locations". The Xcode 3.0 reference still has the old layout.

Has anyone else got this working? Is there something else I need to do in the new scheme?

Thanks
Ian
